We have always celebrated International Women's Day.
This year we will be doing so in collaboration with MDS Studio & Gallery .

As International Women’s Day approaches, I am proud to present 'Things That Men Have Said to Me Instead of Hello' by artist Eli Trier (aka Zuzu) .

This body of work began with screenshots, messages sent to Eli during a period of online dating in her mid-thirties. They are graphic, entitled and simply put- creepy.
Openers, actually, that were never greetings at all.

Years later, those saved fragments became this collection.
The intention is not to demonize men or position women as saints. It is to open the floor to something far more complex: the patriarchal waters we are all swimming in and the systems we perpetuate.

What strikes me most about this exhibition is not shock value. It is recognition.
When women encounter this work, there is an immediate understanding which is often followed by a story of their own.
When men encounter it, the reactions range from genuine horror to distant abstraction — to, at times, uncomfortable defensiveness and surprisingly even understanding.
That spectrum is part of the work.

This exhibition is about naming what has been normalized.
It is about how r**e culture, the male gaze, and beauty standards are not abstract theories but lived experiences.

Both Eli and I are international women. We are artists. We are entrepreneurs. We have built our work across borders, in industries and systems that were not necessarily designed with us in mind.

This exhibition and the conversations it invites, truly embodies the spirit of International Women’s Day through visibility, dialogue, accountability, and agency.
We cannot shift culture if we cannot see it clearly.

To mark International Women’s Day, we are hosting:

March 7 (13:30- 15:30- MDS Studio, Birkegade 7, 2200)– A participatory mixed media and painting workshop inviting you to create artwork in response to your own experiences.

March 8 (2:30–5:00 PM) – A live Q&A conversation with Eli Trier (location TBA)

✨ Happy New Year from Art Escape Events ✨

It’s been a little while, and as we step into a brand new year, we wanted to reconnect, say hello, and share what’s been happening behind the scenes.

Since many of you last heard from us, Art Escape Studios has evolved. What began as a physical studio space has now transitioned into Art Escape Events, while a brand-new chapter has opened with the development of MDS Studio & Gallery .

Art Escape Events is very much still alive, and we’re keeping this page open and active so our amazing community can continue to stay connected and informed about what’s coming next.

✨ What’s changed?

All public art events will now be facilitated through MDS Studio & Gallery with a smaller, more intimate capacity than what we offered during the Art Escape Studios years. This allows for deeper creative focus and a more personal experience.

✨ What hasn’t changed?

For corporations, teams, organizations, and workplaces who want creativity brought directly to you — we are still fully available.

Art Escape Events continues to offer:

And we are back! ✨
Art Escape Events is officially back full-time — bringing corporate creativity, painting, art, and all the magic under the stars straight to your teams. 🎨🌟

Tonight we had the absolute pleasure of hosting .dk for a Mystery Painting Event — an experience designed and invented exclusively by us. Each participant received an unknown, abstracted image… just a tiny piece of a much larger picture. Through communication, collaboration, trust, and a whole lot of creativity, the team painted their individual pieces and connected them together to reveal one collective masterpiece. 🧩❤️

What an incredible night, and what a way to wrap up 2025 with an amazing group of people.

We’re thrilled to announce that 2026 is officially open for bookings, and we’re bringing you brand-new, innovative creative events unlike anything you’ve seen before.

Our signature Mystery Painting experience — born right here at ArtEscape Studios — is a crowd favourite. If you’d like to bring it to your organization, just send us a DM!

from Art Escape Studios!

Happy New Year🎉

Dear Friends and Artists,

As the last year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to all of you who have been part of Art Escape Studios. Your support, passion, and creativity have made these past six years an unforgettable journey.

This month marks the end of an era as we bid farewell to Art Escape Studios in its current form. While it’s bittersweet to close this chapter, I am immensely proud of the community we’ve built together. Your artistry, collaboration, and encouragement have been the heart and soul of our studio, and I am so grateful to have shared this space with you.

Though our regular semesters will be coming to an end, I’m excited to announce that our Team Building services will continue to grow and remain an active part of Art Escape’s mission. I look forward to bringing creativity and connection into new spaces and formats in the future. Continue to follow us to see all the exciting work to come.

Thank you for six wonderful years of inspiration, camaraderie, and trust. Whether you joined us for a single workshop or have been with us since the beginning, you’ve been part of something truly special.
