(IMPORTANT) BIM CAFE IS OPENING AGAIN!

But set under hard restrictions.

Dear BIM Cafe - Online!

We hope that you have succesfully returned to your studies and have found your place physically back on your KEA Campus :)

Many people have already asked when will they be able to visit the BIM Cafe again. We are very happy to hear that its a popular demand.

The good news is, that.. BIM Cafe is opening up again - though we are set under hard restrictions.

It means, that in the beginning of the semester the BIM cafe will be divided into as two sperated offers.

a) The BIM Cafe is only physically open to students from 1st and 2nd semester
b) The BIM Cafe is still providing online assistance to people from 3rd-7th semester

It is a strict demand that 3rd-7th semester students CANNOT visit BIM Cafe physically in the first weeks of the semester - until the situation allows the school to mix semesters and classes freely once again.

Opening hours.
For the 1st and 2nd semester the opening hours is also divided;

Monday 14-18: 1st I
Tuesday 14-18: 1st J
Wednesday 14-18: 2nd I
Thursday 14-18: 2nd J

For the 3rd till 7th semester, we will host live meetings in this team which streams directly to- and from the BIM Cafe, in an effort to make it an as similar situation to the real deal as possible.

Futher restrictions.
We need to follow some restrictions given by KEA in order to take use of the BIM Cafe again.
Ofcause, all of the rules that KEA already imposed already are law - but in extend to that:

a) All keyboards and mice will be removed
b) You can only use your own laptop
c) It is the students own responsibility to follow the given guidelines that is continously communicated from KEA
d) When you leave a station its mandatory to use the sanitizer equipment to wipe your desk, etc.
e) Distance, distance & patience.

We are looking very much forward for KEA to lift the restrictions, so that we are able to host and mix more people in the BIM Cafe again.

At the moment we need to be patient, and above all, helpfull to eachother so that the demand for BIM cafe assistance in the higher (3rd-7th) semester are limited in the sense that people should be good at helping eachother and share best practices, tips and tricks.

Installation.
BIM Cafe released a installation-script that allows you to install the combined, basic software package for the BATCM programme.

All BATCM Students has recieved a mail, including a walkthrough of how to install the software.

We will let you know when and how the restrictions is lifted.

We wish everybody a happy Easter,
Hopefully you are enjoying your holidays, even though that these times does not call for big gatherings or travels to visit your families, we know that you are still keeping the right spirit!

We just wanted to remind you that the BIM Café community is looking super much forward to get back into action and to engage the development of connection in between you, your studies and the professional industry in the future.

Dynamo sessions and BIM Talks will continuously be arranged, and as allways, we are working hard to produce and provide new qualified content. Stay updated, and informed and let's together challenge the ordinary!

⚠️ CORONA ⚠️

Hello everyone,
As you know, KEA, has been shut down with immediate effect.
- It means that KEA BIM Café is closed from tomorrow the 12th of march. We advice anyone to follow the general guidelines posted by KEA - Københavns Erhvervsakademi.

We know that its a critical time of the semester to be forced to stay home, and to not be able to work, live with classmates - The BIM Cafe is therefore working to set up an online platform where students can get help, and help eachother to move on with their projects. Stay tuned, and stay healthy!

Hej alle,
Som I ved, er KEA blevet lukket ned med øjeblikkelig virkning.
Det betyder også, at BIM Cafeen er lukket, allerede fra imorgen, torsdag d. 12 marts. Vi henviser alle elever til at følge KEAs retningslinjer omkring situationen.

Vi er klar over at det for mange studerende er et kritisk tidspunkt på semestret at blive tvunget til at arbejde hjemmefra - derfor arbejder BIM Cafeen på at oprette en online platform hvor studerende kan få hjælp. Hold dig orienteret via BIM cafeens kanaler.

Every 2nd Tuesday, the BIM café team looks forward to hosting open Dynamo discussions that will initiate a new and efficient insight on how students can overcome their daily issues related to their Revit projects.

The aim is to introduce a new perspective of solving problems where all students can pitch in and learn together in an enthusiastic environment.
