aims to share suggestions, tips, guidelines, and words of encouragement with everyone involved in the current Covid-influenced teaching-learning experience. With Teacher Menchie is the first advocacy project of the Nolasco EDEN Foundation, members of the Nolasco family who work as educators, scholars and communication specialists. The motivating questions for the advocacy have been “How can we hel
p?” and “What can we contribute?” The current study and learning arrangements brought about by COVID-19 have created new challenges for teachers, parents, guardians, pupils, and students. Whereas in the past, the weight of learning leaned heavily on the school, today parents and guardians have a much larger share of the school-family partnership. This has left many parents and other teaching tutors feeling bewildered and inadequate in rising to these challenges. Its six episodes will reflect the experiences, insights and lessons learned by the Nolasco educators in various fields and levels of education – formal, non-formal and informal - from early childhood education to secondary and university teaching, in urban and rural settings, among lowlanders as well as indigenous peoples. In the variety of educational experiences runs a common thread and sentiment – that education should be a force for development and social change.
