Back in the spring of the last school year, our then Year 4 and 5 students (now Year 5 and 6) created an art exhibition inspired by nature, sustainability and Earth Day🌱🌍

The students explored ideas connected to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through painting, printmaking and visual storytelling👩‍🎨🎨

Now, their artwork is on display in our very own library at Rygaards School — and what a delight it is for the eyes! ✨

Back in May, we had the pleasure of a visit from a former Rygaards student, Rajni Rajni Lobo Patrao , who attended the school from 1989 to 1992🌞

We gave Rajni, her husband, and their daughter a tour of the school, as quite a bit has changed over the past 34 years.

We truly enjoy it when former students take the time to come back and visit us. It is always wonderful to hear their memories and see the happiness that comes from returning to a place that holds such a special part of their story.

During her visit, Rajni kindly donated a copy of her children's book The Christmas Storyteller to the Rygaards library❄️📚 Inspired by her childhood in magical, snow-covered Copenhagen, the book is a collection of charming Christmas stories and a heartfelt tribute to the school that helped spark her passion for creative writing and drama🎄

Thank you, Rajni and family, for such a wonderful visit. We hope it won't be another 34 years before we see you again! 😊
