Usserød Vuggestue is a private nursery for children up to the age of 2 years, 11 months. We are currently 38 children and 13 members of staff, including kitchen staff, a manager, an assistant manager and a handyman. The management works very closely with the board. The children and staff are organised in 3 groups: Mariehønen (Ladybird), Sommerfuglen (Butterfly) and Hum

lebien (Bumblebee). Our opening hours are Monday through Thursday 6:30-17:00 and Fridays 6:30-16:00. We are closed during Easter week, between Christmas and New Year’s Day and all the other Danish Holidays. We are also closed twice a year for our staff to plan new educational actions, better ourselves in our work or do team-building exercises. Please check out the calendar on the website for specific dates. In Usserød Vuggestue we strive to make every day a positive, stimulating and nurturing experience for each child's development. Our key values are trust, care, a secure base and development. Our work revolves around interaction, friendships and positive relations and we are a ”non-scolding-institution” which means that we rather tell the children what we would like them to do than to tell them what not to do. We do not raise our voices at the children or tell them off. Instead, we help them to express what they are trying to communicate – we look for the intentions behind the action and vocalize them so that the child learns to express itself more clearly. We are certified as a sports-nursery (DGI) which means that the entire staff is trained and qualified to bring appropriate movement and exercise into the day, both as a separate activity and as a part of everyday life in Usserød Vuggestue. We strive to make the time in the nursery a positive experience first and foremost for the child but also for you as parents. We work closely with every family in order to make sure your child is given the best opportunities. Close cooperation with parents is based on our attitude of trust, positivity and a respectful approach to each family. The monthly cost pr. child is 4160 dkr, which also includes diapers and food throughout the day.
