The Digitalization of Money is an exciting and developing topic that many hope would have substantial positive effects on the economy. But what is the role of central banks in the future and can we continue to have trust in the financial system?

The expectation is that transaction costs will fall further, shaving off billions in costs, but will it be changing the role of central banks and potentially be undermining the business model of the traditional banking sector? And with this, what will be the dominant technology? And how can it be secured against being used for criminal activity? These are some of the questions that will need to be solved and which we will address at this event.
