If transformation is the answer of our time, what is the question? Found out in a new book edited by Niels Åkerstrøm Andersen, Dorthe Pedersen, Erik Mygind du Plessis, and Jette Sandager (ed.). The book is in Danish and entitled "Transformationens politik. Ledelse af tidens udfordringer" (The Politics of Transformation. Leadership of Contemporary Challenges). It discusses the undergoing transformation in the Danish welfare state. Public organizations formulate visions, develop strategies, and apply concepts that express desires and hopes for fundamental transformative changes in society. This includes concepts such as radical innovation, adaptive algorithms, agile strategies, technological disruption, and potentiality management. The leadership challenges of our time revolve around time itself and aspirations for a radically different future.
