This is Victory home alone ☺️
I left my boat in the north of Norway and returned to Denmark.

A couple of days ago I received this message from friends traveling by: “Victory peacefully sleeping”

The boat is in a quiet and protected harbor and theres nothing to worry about but thanks to helpful locals I often get an update on her and that feels good.

All good must come to an end 🥲 last sail for now. Victory will stay in northerners Norway and I’m soon going back to Denmark to start a new job.

I hope to be back onboard sometimes doing the autumn, but nothing is guaranteed. But this sailing journey will stay with me.

My body is tired and my mind full of overwhelming experience. Norway is such a beautiful country, the coast min so rewarding, challenging and ever changing.

I’m thanks full 💕

Favorit Natural Harbours July ⚓️

Some places along the Norwegian coastline it’s so easy - you can drop the hook 🪝 almost everywhere. Other stretches are tricky, with katabatic winds and changing conditions.

But it’s always worth it.

Theres a Norway for everyone, rather like fjords, archipelago, outports and lighthouses or even channels.

⚓️ Trælnes: Easy anchorage with lots of space

⚓️ Hjartøy: beautiful very protected anchor spot with a view to the seven sister

⚓️ Værøy: we where here i bad weather and only stayed for a cup of coffee. But its beautiful. Be aware of risk for kabatic winds.

⚓️ Mortsund: Charming anchoring just outside a small town

⚓️ Laukvika: Charming little harbour. We anchored in the middle of the wave breaker

⚓️ Kjerkvågen: easy anchoring with lots of space just outside of Kabelvåg. Nice view with the mountains and the church.

⚓️ Fiskebugta: Easy anchoring lots of space. Lots of fish to catch.

⚓️ Kjøtta: safe anchoring on both sides of the strait between the two islands.
