Beauty and the Beast: Disney rules out censoring gay scene for Malaysia - BBC News 16/03/2017

BREAKING NEWS! Find out Why the Disney movie beauty and the beast will be delayed in Malaysia

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast film shows a brief gay moment where LeFou, sidekick to villain Gaston, is confused about his sexuality. The film has offended Malaysian social conservatives, where homosexual activity is illegal by law. The release of the film is delayed in Malaysia due to it being sent for a review. Malaysia's Film Censorship Board later said the film had been approved, after the scene was cut, but Disney said in a statement to reporters on Wednesday that it would be making no such cuts and was postponing the release.

Singapore 'fire rainbow' cloud phenomenon lights up sky - BBC News 22/02/2017

Neither a fire or a conventional rainbow, a spectacular ball of multi-coloured lights appeared in Singapore's sky, lasting for roughly 15 minutes.

This "fire rainbow" is a rare occurrence caused by lights bursting through cirrus clouds at high attitudes. Sunlight is reflected through water droplets into a bright prism of colours to form the resultant ball of light.

This colourful sighting took social media by storm and delighted many amidst their Monday blues.

Who killed North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's half-brother? 17/02/2017

Who was the man/woman actually behind Kim Jong Nam's death?

Kim Jong Nam, the half-brother of North Korea's supreme leader Kim Jong Un and son of the now deceased Kim Jong Il, was murdered in the Kuala Lumpur International Airport on Monday, February 13th.

He was preparing to leave for Macau, where he resides with his family after leaving North Korea years ago, from the airport in Malaysia.

South Korea's intelligence Committee declared on Wednesday his death, and its chairman Lee Cheol Woo claims that Nam was killed with poison by two Asian women at the airport, though without hard-proof evidence.

The autopsy of the body would likely reveal more truth about what really happened, but Malaysian authorities refuse to release the autopsy report nor his body to Korea until they get the Kim's family's DNA in exchange.
Meanwhile, the body of Kim Jong Nam rests in the North Korean embassy in Malaysia.

The first woman was arrested at the airport two days after the attack. She carried Vietnamese documents stating her age at 30. A 26 year-old Malaysian man was also arrested for further investigation, which led to the apprehension of the second woman (his girlfriend) on suspicion of her being involved in Kim's death. No charges have yet been laid.

So what were the motives of poisoning Kim Jong Nam? Could it be part of Kim Jong Un's grand scheme? Besides, there has been some news about Nam not believing that his brother Un would make a good leader. Maybe Un was hurt and this was just an act of vengeance?

Who killed North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's half-brother? Malaysia says it won't release the body to North Korea without DNA from the Kim family, in the latest twist in the bizarre murder of Kim Jong Un's half-brother.

Xu Zhang skal blive i Danmark 15/02/2017

INTERVIEW WITH XU ZHANG

We at ALC have been following the Xu Zhang case as closely as possible the last couple of days. We are currently in direct contact with Xu Zhang and have asked her a few questions about her case. What she has told us is; “As of today, I have been informed that I cannot stay in Denmark while my case is being proceeded. Therefore, I have to leave Denmark immediately. Case proceeding can take up to 6-7 months, which means I have to wait, until I get the final verdict.”*
We at ALC consider this decision deeply unfair and wish all the best for Xu Zhang in the future, no matter what happens!
