Vi er super glade for at introducere vores nye kok Alfredo Ruido ☺ Alfredo har erfaringer fra mange køkkener kloden rundt – inkl. Latinamerika, Europa og Asien. Alfredo arbejder aktivt med at udvælge og forædle lokale tropiske råvarer. Vi føler os meget heldige ☺

Did you know that kite surf was invented in the town were we will live!
So it is possible to learn kite surf or rent the equipment.

Going on top of these four wheels is one of the easiest ways to move around in Las Terrenas town, where our school takes place. They’re also quite fun!

I år bliver der mindre dans i byen på grund af Corona.

Til gengæld bliver der mere surf.

Og det glæder vi os helt vildt til :-)

I år ændrer vi skemaet, så alle tilbydes undervisning i surf, som en del af Højskolens undervisning.

Både skolens lærere og lokale vil deltage i undervisningen.

Niveau'et er til begyndere. Las Terrenas er et fantastisk sted at lære at surfe.

Time is approaching for us to enjoy this beautiful beach and take some waves.

This year our school will offer surf classes to our students! To take advantage as much as possible of being in contact with the sea and nature.

This is our beautiful beach of las Terrenas. And it is here where we spend a lot of time, contemplating the nature around and taking the sun while we swim. Enjoying the simplicity of it all.

Humpback whales come every year during winter time to the north coast of the Dominican Republic, very close to our retreat’s location. They travel to our warm waters to give birth and feed their young baby whales. We offer a tour during our retreat, in collaboration with professional guides, to go and see them.

The male whales love to jump when one gets near and splash water, which can lift 30-tons of water. The whales are there primarily in January and February. We sail close. And we have always seen whales when we sailed out for them!
