Why did we lose a decade in climate politics?

Watch the video and get a better understanding of what we can do to shift the conversation, and see what scientists from multiple disciplines agree is necessary to do in order to tackle the challenges posed by climate change.

In her recent work on her research project Green Transition Paths, Theresa Scavenius gathered researchers from different parts of the world to discuss how to evolve from the society we have now to a greener one, better equipped to handle the challenges of climate change. Or in other words: how to navigate from A to B.

In recent years there has been a lot of focus on B – the goals; but with this conference, Scavenius hoped to shift the conversation to the challenges at point A and the processes in between the two points.

Green Transition 29/01/2019

Green Transition Paths is a research project lead by democracy and political climate reseacher Theresa Scavenius. The project has been funded by the AAU Rector’s Talent Management Programme 2018 to conduct research in green transition paths. The research team investigates the social barriers of green transition. The main hypothesis is that new green transition paths can only be made if we understand the intersections between the political, human and technological interfaces.
