We sometimes get asked if you need to apply as a team or other practical questions - so we thought to be proactive and let you know that:
-> We only take equity IF we end up investing later
-> You can apply as a solo founder and get help finding others
-> Graduate students are welcome and even encouraged
-> You are expected to work at least 1 day per week on your business

Learning from practice gives us a new perspective over IT-enabled businesses, working with IT in society and delivering value to customers by solving a problem.
This is why we believe that first and foremost, our programme gives students an edge in their career while also providing a fun way to bring ideas under the microscope and into development.
It's not about the destination, but the journey of problem & customer discovery, which sticks to students which attend the Proof of Idea programme!
We're eagerly waiting to see what ideas join the programme - but even more eager to see what new learning we can develop together!

Our tips are to focus on:
- being clear: drop the domain area jargon, explain it like you would do so for a relative
- being honest: it's perfectly acceptable to not have everything figured out!
- being ambitious: projects with an impactful goal tend to "win over" more votes ;) so aim big!

LOOKING FOR A COFOUNDER?
Sorry for shouting, we had to get your attention somehow, right? When we've redesigned our website we thought of including an easier way for students to find each other. It's not really our job, but hey, why not help out a bit ;) Without relying on 3rd party platforms, which seemed to us to be a bit of an overkill.
The solution we ended up with was a hacky way to accomplish the basic process:
- fill out a form (typeform -> airtable)
- get access to the data
If you are looking for a cofounder for your startup, the best way to do so is to reach out to the individual and have a conversation. Everything else is just a middle step in between these two simple actions.
