From the classroom to Milan Design Week! 🇮🇹
Our first-year students had the incredible opportunity to exhibit their project HealTogether at the INTERDEPENDENCE exhibition by Politecnico di Milano.
The project focused on supporting colorectal cancer patients as they transition out of treatment: an often-overlooked stage where emotional and physical challenges persist. By offering tailored guidance, emotional tracking, and peer support, HealTogether aims to help patients navigate life after cancer with a sense of belonging. 💙
A proud moment celebrating design with impact! ✨
Great job Emily, Erika, Martina, and Blom!

Earlier this week at SSD Talks, we were joined by Isabel Ojeda from the City of Seville, who shared two powerful social innovation projects: Gardens in the Air and Bibliokepos. From vertical gardens and neighbourhood scents to libraries as climate shelters, her work shows how institutions, artists, and communities can collaborate for real change. 🌱

Exploring More-Than-Human Design 🌱🐋🐅👫🤖🌳
A few days ago, our talented faculty member, , led a hands-on workshop with our first-year students on More-Than-Human Design. The session focused on noticing different actors in the environment and understanding how time unfolds from their perspective. Students then collaborated to create a shared representation of the temporal aspects they observed.
This workshop is part of Hadas’s PhD research at AAU, where she explores innovative approaches to designing with - not just for - the world around us.
