Korean Studies at the Institute of Cross-Cultural and Regional Studies (ToRS), University of Copenhagen

Korean Studies at the Institute of Cross-Cultural and Regional Studies (ToRS) of the University of Copenhagen is the only place in Denmark where you can learn Korean and study Korean culture on university level. An important part of our curriculum is a stay of at least one semester at a Korean university. We also encourage our students to do internships in Korea or in Denmark to learn how to act as mediators between cultures and to get ready for the job market as soon as possible.

[ENG*KOR*DA sub] Civic Activism in South Korea 한국의 시민 운동 02/03/2025

Will democracy survive? When I had the chance to talk about Seungsook Moon's new book "Civic Activism in South Korea: the Intertwining of Democracy and Neoliberalism" with the author herself and Yoonkyung Lee (University of Toronto), I didn't expect the question to be so timely. But here we are. 🤔 Big thanks to Seungsook Moon and Yoonkyung Lee for joining the discussion! I learned a lot and hope that many can benefit from the video. Also a big shoutout to Celine Grivne Høier who created subtitles in English, Korean and Danish! The video was supported by the 2022 Korean Studies Grant Program of the Academy of Korean Studies (AKS-2022-E-014) and by Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen
