Tibetan Studies is presently closed for intake of new students under the study programme known as Tibetology at CCRS, University of Copenhagen, but IT IS POSSIBLE TO STUDY TIBETOLOGY AS AN ELECTIVE.

Welcome to a public talk with Séagh Kehoe (University of Nottingham) on Monday the 4th of December, at the University of Copenhagen, KUA2, room 10.4.05, at 16:15: “Eating the “Spirit of the Grasslands”: The Trade and Slaughter of the Tibetan Mastiff”
They will explore how Tibetan netizens engage with the Tibetan mastiff’s recent passage from nomadic guard dog on the Tibetan plateau to middle-class status symbol among Han urbanities to a grisly end as hot-pot ingredient.
