The Nordic Game 2026 has come to an end and our students had a great time, from participating to the talks and playing indie games to volunteering and helping out the organizers.
This year was a fun one! They got to listen to talks from Housemarque, Embark Sudios and insdutry professionals such as Unreal Engine Specialist Chris Murphy, Pipeline & Tool Technical Artist F***y Weidner, Expedition 33´s Storytelling Advisor Jenniffer Svedberg-Yen, our Danish stars Magnus Bruun and David Bateson and many more.
Thank you to the organizers for an amazing event! Our students will for sure come back next year!

Another year, another Nordic Game Jam!
Our students had a great time at this year’s Nordic Game Jam at Aalborg University - collaborating, networking, and creating games in just 48 hours.
Working with this year’s theme, “Nothing,” they helped develop games such as Shaemmy, Nothing To Lose, The Goop, Whisper, and more.
Go check out all the games at itch.io.
A special thank you to Toby Van Buynder and the entire Nordic Game Jam team for organizing another fantastic event. See you next year!

2026 in Stuttgart has officially come to an end, and our 6th semester students had an incredible experience attending this year’s conference.
Throughout the event, they had the opportunity to connect with industry professionals and attend talks and workshops from artists such as , who presented Odyssey for Unreal Engine, Adam Sarophim, who explored the animation behind K-Pop Demon Hunters and GOAT, and , who shared insights into the challenges of creating Zootopia 2, among many others.
FMX continues to be an inspiring experience for our students and a great opportunity to explore the latest technology, workflows, and trends within the 3D and film industry. We’re already looking forward to returning next year!

In collaboration with The Danish Film School and director Johan Reddersen, our 4th semester students Rasmus Olsen and Francesca Cristescu contributed to the short film DEEP SEA STAR.
As Lead Simulation Artist and CG Artist, they worked on simulations in Houdini and environments in Blender as part of the film’s visual production.
Here are a few words from Johan about the film and collaboration:
“An eco liberation network communicates through messenger drones as they decide to sabotage the deep sea mining vessel, DEEP SEA STAR, but the labour of activism is challenging and painful, and carried out with a secretive emotionality.”
“Working with the students at CADA to develop 3D environments and simulations was a crucial part of making the film reach its full potential.”
A big thank you to Johan Reddersen and The Danish Film School for the collaboration and opportunity.
Congratulations to Rasmus, Francesca, and the entire DEEP SEA STAR team!

The Games Workers Conference is Friday, May 22nd, and, with the help of the wonderful people at DADIU - The National Academy of Digital Interactive Entertainment , we're hosting a Watch Party at the National Film School.
We're opening at 17:30 and start at 18:00, running until 00:00. You can join us here: National Film School, Theodor Christensens Plads 1, 1437 København K.
Started as a reply to the Game Developers Conference, it features dozens of speakers, and covers a wide range of subjects including industry skills, project post-mortems, movement work, union campaigns, and more!
This isn’t the conference to hear big names talk about corporate goals, but for the workers reflecting on the work they do in the industry. You’ll see presentations from a tiny development studio breaking down their first release; freelancers discussing community and solidarity in their solo professions; journalists discussing their work; and issues and matters that affect workers in the games industry.
It is very much a conference for us, by us, talking about issues that affect us.
Keeping with the ethos of the event, and with the kindness of DADIU’s heart, the Watch Party is free.

We look forward to seeing you!
