EL MOVIMIENTO ZAPATISMO HOY

ILAS ofrece una oportunidad única para reflexionar sobre autonomía, resistencia y alternativas al sistema dominante desde una de las experiencias políticas más influyentes de nuestro tiempo: la zapatista.

Carlos Aguirre Rojas es una voz muy reconocida en el estudio de los movimientos sociales en América Latina y ha acompañado de cerca la evolución del zapatismo desde sus orígenes. Su trabajo ofrece una mirada profunda y crítica sobre el impacto del movimiento zapatista, su relación con las luchas globales y sus desafíos en el contexto contemporáneo. En este encuentro, exploraremos junto a él los avances y aportes del neozapatismo en el siglo XXI, las tensiones actuales dentro del movimiento y sus perspectivas y horizontes futuros en un mundo en transformación.

30 Years of Zapatismo: From Rebellion to Renewal

The two last days' events at KU Søndre Campus were a powerful reminder of how much can be achieved when faculties come together fostering a stronger university community that is ready to confront critical global issues with diverse viewpoints and shared knowledge. Scholars and participants from across disciplines engaged in meaningful discussions on the legacy of Zapatismo, highlighting the importance of collaboration in tackling global challenges.

From the insightful keynote by Bruno Baronnet (Universidad Veracruzana) to the dynamic debat with Misha Wolfsgaard-Iversen, Silke Mechlenburg and Julie Wetterslev and the colourful
presentations by Sara Washbrook, Jesper Nielsen, Elena Ansótegui, and the online panel with Márgara Millán and Mariana Mora, the days were filled with thought-provoking debates and fresh perspectives.
