🏃‍♀️ FLA Runs is coming to Zürich for the very first time 🇨🇭

We’re excited to invite you to a special edition of FLA Runs together with femella, hosted by Jung Altstetten on Thursday, 25 June.

At FLA Leadership, we believe some of the best conversations happen when we step away from the conference room and move together. That’s why FLA Runs combines movement, leadership, and community in a format designed to feel energizing, welcoming, and genuinely connecting.

We'll start with a relaxed 5km social run along the beautiful river Limmat before returning to Jung Altstetten for drinks, snacks, and an inspiring leadership conversation with a special guest speaker (to be announced 👀).

Whether you're a seasoned runner, a complete beginner, a current leader, or simply someone looking to connect with ambitious and inspiring women, this event is for you.

We're looking for a new office space! 🏢🔎

FLA Leadership is currently looking for a new home base in both Copenhagen and Aarhus.

• Copenhagen: We're looking for a space that can comfortably accommodate a team of 3–6 people a few days a week, with access to meeting facilities and the possibility of hosting occasional larger gatherings.

• Aarhus: We're looking for a smaller setup for one team member who works from the office a few days a week.

If the space can also host workshops, events, or community gatherings from time to time, that would be a wonderful bonus - but it's by no means a requirement.

At FLA Leadership, we care about creating environments that foster learning, collaboration, and meaningful connections. We're therefore looking for a place that feels welcoming, flexible, and part of a broader community.

📩 Feel free to reach out at [email protected] or tag someone in the comments.

Thank you for helping us spread the word 🙏

The perfect way to kick off a Sunday ☀️🏃‍♂️☕️

A few highlights from a great morning filled with endorphins, inspiring conversations, and good coffee.

Together with Kontra Coffee, we brought together a group of curious and ambitious people for a 5K run through the city, followed by an inspiring talk from Kristoffer Xavier Guevara-Lützen, CEO of LYTE.

After the run, we gathered over coffee and BMOs to connect, recover, and exchange ideas. These mornings are about more than running—they're about building meaningful relationships, learning from inspiring people, and starting the day with energy and purpose.

A huge thank you to Kontra Coffee for hosting us and keeping us fueled, and to Kristoffer for sharing valuable insights with our community.

If a morning like this sounds like something you'd enjoy, make sure to follow FLA Leadership and stay updated on upcoming runs and events from our Summer Program. We have plenty more in store. 🚀

How do we create space for people to flourish?

Leading The Way with Dorien Emmers

For Dorien Emmers, Docent at KU Leuven, leadership is about creating the conditions for people to grow, not by forcing development, but by building environments where people feel safe, included, and able to contribute.

KU Leuven is an international university community where innovative research forms the foundation for academic programmes, and where researchers and students work to address some of the key challenges of our time.

Her leadership principles point to some of the most important questions for future leaders: How do we build psychologically safe teams? How do we encourage continuous learning? And how do we make diversity and inclusion a real strategic advantage?

Leadership starts before the title 💡

This Monday, we had the pleasure of hosting an event with on Breaking the Tech Leadership Barrier.

A big thank you to our brilliant speakers Jeppe Taaning from , Katrine Bach from , Nina Due from , and Pernille Hertel from for sharing their experiences, insights, and reflections on navigating leadership in a rapidly evolving industry.

Also a big thank you to our sharp moderator Jakob Dock for guiding the conversation with clarity and energy, and to everyone who joined and contributed with thoughtful questions and engaging discussion throughout the evening.

Across the conversation, we explored themes ranging from the lack of visible role models in tech and imposter syndrome, to managing AI agents and the importance of human interaction and communication skills - especially in the age of AI.

Three key takeaways stood out:

⭐ Leadership begins with ownership — stepping forward and taking responsibility long before a title arrives
⭐ Imposter syndrome isn’t a blocker, but a signal for reflection and growth
⭐ In an AI-driven world, adaptability is becoming one of the most important leadership skills

We are looking forward to other events coming ahead!

We asked Mads Nipper, Board Chair at MacArtney Underwater Technologies about his leadership principles for 2026!

For Mads Nipper, leadership begins with a true focus on people. In times of uncertainty and disruption, leaders need more than plans and answers.
🌱 They need curiosity, humility, ambition, and the ability to see people as human beings first.

Mads’ leadership principles remind us that optimism is not about ignoring reality. It is about shaping reasons to believe in the future, even when the path ahead is complex.

Are you staying curious and learning as much as possible❓

Leading The Way with Carsten Egeriis

For Carsten Egeriis, CEO of Danske Bank, leadership starts with curiosity: staying proactive, asking questions, and learning as much as possible from the people around you.

His advice to new leaders is simple, but powerful:
💥 take coffee meetings widely,
💥 be patient and understand the organisation well, and
💥 build real professional depth where you are.

Carsten’s leadership principles remind us that clear direction, authenticity, and deep listening are essential when leading through complexity.
