PANDORA contest winner: Sarah Blicher Bek
In a 6-week design project in collaboration with Pandora, Royal Danish Academy’s Fashion, Clothing and Design MA students were challenged with creating an artistic design that examines the transformative power of cross-disciplinary cooperation between Fashion and Jewelry, working with new sustainable narratives.
Sarah Blicker Bek won the second prize with her project “Memorabilia”
“Visiting New York during Valentine’s Day, I witnessed how PANDORA jewelry is used to communicate love. I was reminded about all the love we carry that no longer has a recipient, in other words grief, and how this influence my own relationship with Pandora, as my late father used Pandora charms to communicate his love for my mother. In this exhibition piece I wish to resemblance the feeling of his embrace, using the safety and comfort duvets while incorporating my mother’s bracelet in the final design.“
Thank you to for the collaboration!
