Toastmasters is all about community - we all support each other at our club by giving feedback, evaluations, mentorship and applause. It was great to share this ethos with you and invite you into our world 😍

Special thanks to Vic Lee, Toby and Igor for representing us and sharing the fun of Table Topics with the community at Folkestedet. We look forward now to our next meeting!

✨Speaking with Confidence - April Edition, wrapped!

In our meeting last week, we had some fun with many interesting table topics! Thanks to Igor Lopatchin for preparing these 😁
The small speeches we give - 🫕 at dinner parties, 🤩at a friend's birthday, as the clock strikes in the 💥 New Year - these are all table topics, and Toastmasters is a great place to practice them so you can be the life of the party next time 😉

There's also a lot of structure in our meetings - we value our time, so we use structure to make sure that we can learn a lot, and have fun - within responsible limits ;)

And finally, last meeting we restarted the tradition of going post-meeting to Godsbanen, and having a relaxing wind-down there. We aren't just about speaking - we're about networking, getting to know each other, making friends and connecting.

🔥 Paul – the competitive spirit and unstoppable drive of Aarhus Toastmasters! 🔥

Paul is a former professional football player ⚽ — someone who truly understands discipline, ambition, and the grind it takes to get better every single day. Today, he channels that same determination into public speaking and leadership.

Outside the stage, Paul is a proud and loving dad to a beautiful 1.7-year-old baby girl 👶💛. Family time is his greatest “win” in life.

He joined Toastmasters with a bold purpose:
🚀 to push his limits, step into discomfort, and grow outside his comfort zone — speech by speech, challenge by challenge.

What does he love most about the club?
😄 The community. The laughter. The vibe. The improv. The people who lift you up and keep you moving forward.

🎨 Bjørn – the creative, fearless, and unapologetically authentic member of Aarhus Toastmasters! 🧗‍♂️

When he’s not arranging things to perfection at IKEA 🛠️, you’ll probably find Bjorn sketching new worlds on paper or challenging himself on a climbing wall. He’s someone who values precision, creativity, and pushing both mental and physical boundaries.

Bjorn joined Toastmasters with a clear goal in mind:
🎤 to become more social and strengthen his communication skills.
What started as a small step toward self-improvement soon became a journey of confidence and growth — one speech, one meeting, one laugh at a time.

What he enjoys most about the club?
💙 Watching himself grow… but even more, watching others do the same.
That mix of courage, vulnerability, and progress is what makes Toastmasters special — and Bjorn embodies that perfectly.

And if you ask him for a fun fact, his answer might surprise you:
🥩 He’s a full carnivore! No vegetables for over a year — just pure protein and determination.

Bjorn’s attitude toward life can be summed up in his bold (and slightly rebellious 😏) motto:
