Two of our ECCA scholarship students have been recognized for their magazine stories made at DMJX photojournalism in the spring 2025.
Congratulations to Rahadh Sarker for being selected as runner-up in The 2026 Alexia Conservation Student Grant and to Zhang Zifan for being shortlisted in the student category at the 2026 World Report Award documenting humanity.

DMJX faculty teacher Mads Greve is conducting the first of a series of four DMJX photojournalism workshops in Cairo this week.
12 Egyptian photographers have been selected for the programme and they will receive teaching and work on individual assignments during the workshops.
The educational programme is made in co-operation with Photopia Cairo and supported by the Embassy of Denmark in Cairo.

We are extremely proud to share that we, with the support of ECCA Family Foundation, can launch the third edition of the ECCA-DMJX Photojournalism Award.
The Award consists of a main prize of Danish Kroner 100,000 and three second prizes of Danish Kroner 30,000.
A huge thank you to ECCA Family Foundation for trusting in our students and DMJX photojournalism.
All students who have attended DMJX Photojournalism in the period from fall 2024 to spring 2026 can apply.
Deadline is June 18, 2026.

We're proud that seven of our students won prizes at the Danish Picture of the Year this past Friday.
Huge congratulations to Vikki Søholm, Rebecca Krogh, Dicte Sønnichsen, Cecilie Rolvung, Lærke Berg-Pedersen, Nichlas Pollier and Nicolai West
And then a pleasant surprise occurred at the award ceremony: Ólafur Gestsson won long term project of the year with a project that he started as his BA-project in 2017 and has continued to work on for the past ten years.

From a total of 91 applications, we're thrilled to announce the 12 Egyptian photographers who will join our 2026 educational programme in Cairo.

This wonderful bunch of students opened a documentary exhibition at DMJX - Danmarks Medie- og Journalisthøjskole Friday, February 27.
The 20 stories conclude Photojournalistic Method, which is the first course of the spring 2026 term. The final project of the course has been a short documentary assignment that is now on display at DMJX till the end of May.
