Before the summer holiday, 4th semester had the opportunity to create a project for a company located outside Denmark. The company, Cwind, is in the offshore industry offering total maintenance solutions. During the project period the students had several video meeting with the company collecting data and a visit to one of their main customers, Siemens Windpower.
This was the first time VCM have made a project with a company outside Denmark, and over all we can call it a success. The experience from the project will hopefully result in more global minded projects.

The Bachelor Programme in Value Chain Management provides you with skills and knowledge needed to manage the way businesses receive raw materials as input, add value to the raw materials through various processes and sell finished products to customers. The 2nd semester students went to visit Danfoss in Kolding before the Summer break. The company visit was an introduction to the upcoming SPV 2 project. The visit also included a guided tour inside their inventory and production facilities. The students had three weeks to write their reports and was examinated by a production manager from Danfoss.
After a long summer holiday, VCM Aarhus would like to welcome all new students at VIA Mejlgade. We have looked very much forward to see you and we hope that you will enjoy the planned activities the next coming days!!!

2nd semester's company visit to LEGO
Cross disciplinary project
The 2nd semester students have been working hard for 1½ week and have now completed their projects. The students have given their ideas and recommendations on how to launch a new LEGO product. The project case was created in collaboration with LEGO and include a company visit.

Pictures from our Thursday Bar, 8th of March. The overall theme for the bar was to create a graffiti painting which should represent the education. Each course, GBE and VCM, should crete one painting each! A great day with more than 60 students!!!

Today we had the pleasure to welcome potential new students from the Dream Foundation, Lithuania. They are in Denmark for visiting several studies and here about the opportunity to study in Denmark.
They were introduced to the study in general by responsible teachers, and afterwards had a talk with 4. semester students. The whole day ended by attending a lecture and lunch.
We hope that all had a great experience and look forward to welcome you at VIA Mejlgade!
