Arctic Lab - AAU Arctic Lab is a platform for Arctic SSH research at Aalborg University EU, Asia, Russia, and the United States.

The Centre for Innovation and Research in Culture and Living in the Arctic (CIRCLA) is a research group based at the Department of Culture and Learning at Aalborg University. CIRCLA's geographical area of interest is the Circumpolar North (including Greenland, Nordic Region/Countries; Canada, Alaska and Russia, the North Atlantic and the Polar Sea). The field of interest is broadly defined as Arct

ic Studies, but particular attention is given to research in the human sciences within the areas of social, cultural and political analysis, discourse, communication, post-colonial governance, culture-driven innovation, and sustainable development (including tourism and management of natural and cultural heritage). Additionally, we prioritize research with a focus on the Arctic and its relationship with other parts of the world – e.g. CIRCLA contributes with new problem-based research that discusses the real-life problems which Arctic communities are facing today. Thus, understanding and studying Arctic developments in dialogue, collaboration and exchange with local communities is of the essence.

Kickstart din arktiske ansøgning – udviklingsmidler med fokus på tværfaglighed og arktisk involvering

Der er nu mulighed for at ansøge AAU Arctic om midler til afholdelse af aktiviteter til at fremme udviklingen af ansøgninger og netværk mellem AAUs arktiske forskere på tværs af institutter og fakulteter eller med arktiske forskere og aktører.

Til formålet kan man ansøge om 2 x 5.000 DKK, der skal understøtte udvikling og samarbejde omkring ansøgninger, herunder DFFs arktiske call, der netop har fokus på lokal
inddragelse. Midler giver til rejser, møde- og netværksaktiviteter på tværs af miljøer på AAU, med udenlandske forskerkollegaer og -netværk samt med lokale aktører og interessenter i Grønland og Arktis (eventuelt i kombination med vores udlyste midlert til tolkning og oversættelse).

Ansøgningen sendes som max 1 side (PDF) samt budget over forventede udgifter. Bevilges pengene, skal der inden udgangen af året afrapporteres for brug af midler samt deles et opslag om rejsen/mødet/aktiviteten på AAU Arctics Facebook- og LinkedIn profil.
