Our PhD student Yousef Mohammadi has published a paper titled "Validity and reliability of self-reported and neural measures of listening effort" as a preprint.

This paper addressed the listening effort phenomenon, which is a common complaint among hearing-impaired individuals. The work investigated the reliability of behavioral and neural measures of listening effort and found that neural measures were not as reliable as behavioral measures.

Listening effort can be defined as a measure of cognitive resources used by listeners to perform a listening task. Several methods have been proposed to assess listening effort, but the reliability of these methods has not yet been thoroughly establis

Exciting news! Our latest paper "The co-existence of sensory and autonomic neuropathy in type 1 diabetes with and without pain" is now available in Acta Diabetologica. This study investigated the co-existence of diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN), painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy (PDPN), and cardiac autonomic neuropathy (CAN) in 80 participants, and established a model to predict CAN based on peripheral measurements. The findings suggest that CAN predominantly co-exists with concomitant DPN.
