Last week, our students transformed the Campus in Wolfsburg into an absolute scare-zone! 🦇🎃 The Staff organized a chilling pumpkin carving session, and our amazing Students used the leftovers to brew up some tasty pumpkin cream soup – !
A huge thank you to the entire organization team for this brilliant, community-powered party. Even the Staff joined the fun with great costumes!

What an amazing time connecting with our colleagues at for our joint Offsite! Two days of intense learning, fun, and teamwork at their awesome campus.
From focusing on giving and receiving feedback (with ) and getting to know each other better (Day 1) to diving into a Social Experiment, creativity, and combining our powers (Day 2)—we proved that working together achieves something truly big!
Plus, a shout-out to the legendary charades night that had us all in tears laughing. 😂

Our September Piscine is already coming to an end—time really flies! Over the past 4 weeks, our Pisciners have shared meals, laughter, and invaluable peer-to-peer support to navigate the challenges of learning to code—some starting completely from scratch! 👾

They’ve strengthened their skills and built connections that are sure to last. We can’t wait to welcome many of you back at the next Kick-Off! 🚀

🔓 Mirko Ross is the founder and CEO of asvin.io and an influential figure in cybersecurity and the Internet of Things. With a background rooted in ethical hacking, he has become a trusted advisor to the European Commission, BMBF, and BDI, and was part of ENISA’s IoT security expert group.

Cybersecurity is no longer optional — it’s essential. In our connected world, digital safety affects us all. 🌍💻

Last night at 42 Wolfsburg, we explored the evolving world of cybersecurity during our Cyberse/ptember event with two incredible guest speakers.

✨ Jürgen Schulze, thought leader in human-centric cybersecurity, shared how AI is reshaping the digital landscape, creating both challenges and opportunities. He emphasized that now is the time for young tech talent to join cybersecurity, especially those who understand Large Language Models at their core.
💡Another key takeaway: diversity isn’t optional — it’s critical. With LLMs historically built mostly by men, diverse perspectives are needed to close blind spots and build stronger, more resilient defences.

✨ Mirko Ross, founder and CEO of asvin.io and ethical hacking expert, gave an eye-opening talk on the cybersecurity challenges of the modern world, from geopolitical threats to the rise of hacktivism, and how these issues can impact global wellbeing.

The evening wrapped up with a lively panel discussion, moderated by our very own Vanessa Hernández.

📅 With the last piscine of 2025 about to enter the final stretch (can you believe we are already in week 3?), it is never too early to look ahead. There will be four more piscines in 2026 here at 42 Wolfsburg, and the first two are currently open for registration.

Yesterday we kicked off our September Piscine, the last one of 2025 and also the busiest so far.

Dozens of new faces have joined us, representing 29 nationalities. Some have just finished high school, others are making bold career shifts after years in completely different fields.

The youngest Pisciner is 18, the oldest 59, a reminder that it’s never too early or too late to start something new.

The campus is buzzing, and we can’t wait to see what this diverse group will create over the next four weeks. For now, here’s a little glimpse from yesterday’s Kick Off day.

🚀 Big day at 42 Wolfsburg! On Friday, we welcomed Agnes Heftberger, CEO of Microsoft Germany, to our campus.

Agnes joined our students for an honest and thought-provoking conversation about what it really means to be a software engineer in a world shaped by AI.

Some key takeaways:

💡 The role is changing. It is no longer just about writing perfect code. Thriving in tech today means learning fast, giving and receiving feedback openly, asking better questions, and thinking critically before touching the keyboard.

🌱 Growth as a mindset. At both Microsoft and 42, mistakes are seen as part of the process. Each misstep is an opportunity to learn, improve, and try again with sharper insight.

🔥 Leadership in flux. True leadership is not about having all the answers. It is about listening closely, adapting quickly, and helping others stay focused on what matters most.

🇩🇪 Germany’s AI edge. Despite the noise around falling behind, German companies are leading in agentic AI adoption, supported by deep innovation and strong technical foundations.
