Rest in Peace, Punong G**o Fred Evrard
We have to share the incredibly difficult news of the passing of our beloved founder, Punong G**o Fred Evrard.
We are at a loss of words, we have just lost an incredible person, a mentor and a friend who dedicated his life to building the KM family and community. Kali Majapahit is his legacy and has changed the lives of thousands.
After winning his initial battle against a genetic cancer that ran in his family for generations, he suffered an aggressive relapse which he fought with incredible strength for over a year, with the support of his wife G**o Lila and his close circle of family and friends.
His journey, beyond martial arts, his fight and the lessons he learnt from it have inspired and helped many to fight their own battle. Our message to those of you fighting a battle is to keep going, not to give up. To their caregivers, you are doing an amazing job. Don’t forget that you can only look after someone else if you first look after yourself. Ask for help when needed.
The Kali Majapahit community and academies around the world are more determined than ever to carry forward G**o Fred’s legacy and his mission to change the world, one black belt at a time. We have built an incredible family that proudly carries the Kali Majapahit flag high.
We are grateful for the amazing support from so many of you throughout this very difficult journey, it has made a huge difference.
