Is your SAP test system putting you at risk of a GDPR violation?

Yes: if Production data has been copied into a non-production system without masking, that system carries the same GDPR obligations as Production.

Why it happens:

1. Test systems are refreshed from Production, but rarely re-secured to the same standard in non-production

2. A single unmasked ID number, salary, or medical record is enough to trigger a reportable breach.

The fix: mask, anonymise, and slice data before it leaves Production, so your SAP landscape stays realistic for testing, and compliant by design.

The old process was an annual full system copy, and between the copy and the post-processing that followed it, the whole thing ran to about six weeks.

Client Sync replaced it. The copy is 99.6% faster, it handles their SAP PPM data for research projects as well as finance and HCM, and the HR team no longer books an SAP SuccessFactors refresh six weeks ahead.
