Do you think these two are the perfect match? 💛💚
A fun speaking activity for Year 5 / 5th grade to practise the Simple Present and daily routines — with a little randomness thrown in. 😉
Instead of simply asking students to write about their own daily routine, they create a character and build their routine with random activity cards.
Then they step into their character’s shoes and meet their partner:
“What do you do at 6 o’clock?”
“I go for a run.”
The random combinations make the speaking part much more fun — and give students something to talk about beyond their own lives.
And the best part? There are no “wrong” routines. Sleeping on the sofa at 10 a.m.? Sure. Going for a run at 6? Why not? 😂
Perfect for beginner English learners who need a little help getting talking
