Prof. Raymond Hickey: “Examining 'Bad Data': Ego Documents in the History of English”

Prof. Hickey will talk about so-called "ego documents" (autobiographies, diaries, letters, ...) and how they can serve as a data source for historians of the English language.
The lecture’s special focus will be on 19th-century Irish emigrant letters!
