Bringing these Empowerment Academies directly into climate-vulnerable communities is becoming more and more important as we feel the growing impacts of the climate crisis. By giving young people the tools and network to lead, we transform lived experience into bold local action!
Watching these 600 young leaders share their ideas, and commit to protecting their local ecosystems was truly inspiring.

Human connection to nature is fading. Both in the wild and on our screens.
During our Global Ambassadors Council gathering in Prague, we interviewed local activists and participants on how to repair this bond. Here is what they shared:
1️⃣ Get young people back outdoors.
2️⃣ Respect ancient ecological wisdom.
3️⃣ Commit 5% of our time or resources back to the Earth.
Vital steps to fix the growing disconnect between society and the environment. By connecting our global ambassadors with Prague’s local movement, we demonstrated that global vision and local action must go hand-in-hand to create lasting change.

New research shows that under a high emissions scenario, European wildfires could almost triple (+192%) by the end of the century.
However, the study also shows that adequate forest management can reduce the impact of wildfires. Investing in fire management and forest stewardship can cut burned areas by up to 92%. Proactive care saves forests! ⭐️
However, management alone is NOT enough.
Even with top-tier fire suppression, extreme climate change will still drive up wildfires in over 55% of Europe’s fire-prone regions. We cannot avoid the impacts of the climate crisis without tackling the problem at its root.
To protect our ecosystems, we need both:
1. Proactive forest management on the ground AND
2. URGENT fossil fuel phase-outs and emission cuts globally‼️‼️‼️
We cannot protect the forests alone, we need global voices to stand up to the fossil fuel industry now and demand action. 🌍

No, our summers haven’t always been this hot. Over the last 100 years, the average annual temperature in Germany has risen significantly.
This trend has accelerated sharply since the 1970s.
Climate action costs money, but climate inaction costs even more.
