Interesting news and breath-taking results! Manuel Fernandez-Götz has given his proposed paper today presenting the most spectacular findings from his dissertation. His work deals with the archaeological remains of sanctuaries, oppida and settlements as well as with the correlation between spatial distribution of citadels and ethnic identities. Do agree with Fernandez-Götz that main religious places also functioned as sites for political assemblies or do you doubt his theses by, for instance, arguing with a considerable number of local temples which have never been of over-regional interest?
