ASB GlassFloor

ASB GlassFloor The Floor of the Future. More information: www.asbglassfloor.com ASB (short for ‘Aluminium System Construction’) was founded in 1965.

ASB is known for its innovations and sustainable design in the world of sport and has already revolutionised the squash sport. Our experience and our in-depth knowledge of the high-quality materials are incorporated into the most modern flooring system currently on the market. Visionary and trained advertising specialist Horst Babinsky founded Babinsky Trockenbau KG, which then developed into Syst

embau Horst Babinsky GmbH. The company began to market the first plastic curtain rail. Design affinity and lively contact with architects soon lead to Horst Babinsky becoming Germany’s most successful licensee for the revolutionary system for aluminium prefabricated buildings. Later, together with Hardy Rensch, he developed the ASB building system, an intelligent aluminium prefabricated building system with more than 100 buildings in Germany and internationally implemented. Kindergartens, institutes, schools and private homes are manufactured very quickly in very short time. In 1975 Horst Babinsky developed the ASB SquashCourt and thereby paved the way into the sports sector. Within 10 years, the ASB SquashCourt is the international market leader - a history of groundbreaking innovations begins. Horst Babinsky is still active in the company and is there to advise. In 2012, his son Christof Babinsky took over as Managing Director and has expanded ASB’s knowledge further in releasing the ASB LumiFlex and developing the MultiSports floor even more.

If Berlin was the spark, Munich proved what happens when sport is staged as a true culture platform. Over 4,000 fans in the arena and an incredible energy at BMW Park showed where the future of sports entertainment is heading.

Formats like the LGCY Series, backed by figures like Dennis Schröder and Franz Wagner, show how basketball in Germany is evolving. They bring hoops, music, fashion, and community together under one roof.

To be clear: high intensity, entertainment focused formats like this are not a replacement for traditional, classic sports. They do not want to be. Instead, they expand and enrich the overall sports landscape, attracting new audiences and bringing fresh energy to the entire ecosystem.

When building an experience like this, the canvas itself matters. As Benedikt von Dohnanyi, CEO of ASB Arena and Event Services, recently put it, a standard court just does not hit the same way. When the surface is dynamic, everything built on top of it gets room to actually be different.

At ASB GlassFloor, we are proud to provide that very foundation. From high impact animations to interactive elements, our tech allows brands and organizers to move past static logos and become part of the actual experience.

Basketball culture is moving fast in Germany, and we are thrilled to help build what comes next alongside visionary organizers and classic clubs alike.

Huge shoutout to the team behind LGCY Series, BMW Park, and all the partners who made this finale an absolute highlight.

The court is no longer just a court 🏀 Berlin felt the energy 🔥
THE LGCY SERIES brought basketball culture to life — with elite competition, creators, music and a crowd that made the building shake.

The ASB GlassFloor turned every possession into a moment. Every play became part of the show. Every game became an experience.

New rules. New energy. Same love for the game.

Beyond professional sports: How ASB GlassFloor unlocks new possibilities for modern arenas.

Multifunctional venues are constantly searching for ways to reimagine their space for non-traditional sports and live entertainment.

The BLAST R6 Munich Major at BMW Park was a prime example of what becomes possible when arena infrastructure evolves. By utilizing BMW Park's permanently installed ASB GlassFloor, the production team turned the physical arena floor into a 25-million-pixel (6656×3744), live game-responsive stage.

Driven by real-time API triggers and designed by Louis Gauger, the floor reacted live to match events with dynamic water animations inspired by Munich’s Eisbach River, a project that won the Event Technology Award at the Global Tech Awards 2026.

This showcase proves that full-video glass flooring is far more than a premium sports surface. It’s an interactive canvas that allows venues to stage, customize, and elevate non-sporting events with zero delay.

💬 "The BLAST R6 Munich Major was all about resilience and proving who could rise above the competition when the pressure was at its highest. We wanted every aspect of the event to reflect that ambition, not only in the matches but also in the live experience. The ASB GlassFloor helped us bring that vision to life, creating a unique stage that elevated the atmosphere and immersed fans in every moment of the tournament. It became a defining feature of one of our most distinctive Rainbow Six events to date."

💬 "As part of the BLAST team, I was tasked with designing an immersive, game-responsive environment built around the ASB GlassFloor as its centerpiece. The result blended scenographic representations of the game with dynamic water footage that shifted live based on how players performed on stage. The arena became a massive, game-responsive world that pulled audiences into the drama and storytelling of the event, both in the venue and on screens at home. The LumiFlex was the key to delivering a showpiece that both Ubisoft and BLAST could be proud of."

Giving athletes and coaches better tools to perform. That’s part of what we’re building at ASB GlassFloor.

Last month, we welcomed nearly 90 college basketball coaches to the Head Coach Training Center® Annual Conference in Orlando. Together with our partners at ShotTracker, we demonstrated what the next generation of coaching can look like inside the ASB GlassFloor Athletes Lab.

For more than a century, coaches have taught the game with whiteboards, cones, and video review.

Those tools aren’t going away. But now, the court itself can become part of the coaching experience.

Imagine drawing a drill on an iPad and having it instantly appear on the floor.

Imagine showing spacing, movement, defensive rotations, or shooting zones live beneath your players’ feet.

Imagine athletes receiving feedback during each repetition—not after practice in the film room.

That’s what we’ve built with ASB GlassFloor and GlassCourt OS—the operating system that powers our courts.

As coaching continues to evolve, the technology supporting it should evolve too. Our platform is designed to give coaches and performance staff intuitive tools that fit naturally into the way they already teach, train, and communicate.

Our goal isn’t to tell coaches how to coach. It’s to give them an entirely new set of tools to bring their ideas to life.

When you combine that with a playing surface engineered for player comfort, grip, and reduced impact on knees, joints, and backs, the court becomes more than a playing surface - it becomes part of the training environment.

We’re entering a new era of athlete development, where the court isn’t just something athletes play on - it’s an active part of how they learn, improve, and perform.

Today’s athletes are digital natives. They adapt to technology quickly, and they expect tools that are interactive, visual, and immediate. We’re building a platform that helps coaches teach more effectively and helps athletes learn faster.
