wow people, the fist 24 hours online we got 34 likes, I think it is a big day for the Gambia. I hope many will join us tomorrow.

If education is the key to success, why can’t every child afford to go to school in the Gambia?

We know that Girls and boys, who learn to read, write and count will provide a better future for their families and countries. With improved education, so many other areas are positively affected. In short, education has the power to make the world a better place.
This is what we think we can do to change this situation in our Country:

Every diaspora from The Gambia and anyone who Love and want to help the Gambia donate every month 1 € to enable our children in the Gambia to get a better education.

A massive movement “1 € per diaspora” starting from outside the Gambia build up to help the Gambia By creating a network outside the country.

• no dependency,
• non-Governmental,
• Helping without any Administration cost that will minimize our donation to the minimum.
• From the Gambians for the Gambians

With approximately 65,000 Gambians abroad in 2010 (or around 4 percent of the total population), that means 65000 euros for the schools every month.

(Diaspora 1€ can be a more stable source of funding for our schools and kindergarten than other foreign help organizations because our familiarity with the Gambia will gives us a lower perception of risk of corruption, and in particular our fund will not be misused)

The money rose through “1€ diaspora” would be used to finance schools and kindergartens in The Gambia. No school will be build or rebuild with the fund. No teachers or headmasters will be paid from the fund.

Gambians! How long can we effectively govern ourselves, if we can’t effectively educate our children?
