The software engineer developed the onboard computer programs that powered NASA's Apollo missions, including the 1969 moon landing.

A nice story about Kistamicin Biosynthesis and Evolution. Great work from Evi Stegmann and Max Cryle, thanks for including me in this study :-).

Kistamicin is a structurally divergent glycopeptide antibiotic (GPA) that contains a unique 15-membered A-O-B ring. Here, the authors obtained a crystal structure of the kistamicin OxyA/X-domain complex and analysed the cyclisation cascade leading to the formation of the A-O-B ring.

Phylogeny is built using all MLST genes from query and reference organisms using either a concatenated gene or coalescent tree method.
