KAPPELBERG: EINE LANDPARTIE DES CAMPUS GEGENWART

Die Landpartie führt an den Fellbacher Kappelberg im Osten Stuttgarts. An seinen Hängen wächst Wein, in der Ferne rotiert der silberne Stern über Untertürkheim. Ein Jahr lang näherten sich Studierende dem Berg historisch, ethnographisch und atmosphärisch – nun zeigen sie ortsspezifische Performances.
Um 14 Uhr eröffnet am Fuße des Bergs der Weingott selbst die Landpartie und führt die Gäste den Berg hinauf. Hier entdecken sie einen Reigen aus Durational Performances, Interventionen, Panels und Workshops. Um 17 Uhr kommen Gäste und Performer*innen auf der Naturbühne des Kappelbergs zu einer konzertanten Versammlung zusammen.

English:

The Landpartie leads to Kappelberg, a hill in Fellbach on the eastern edge of Stuttgart. Vineyards grow along its slopes, while in the distance the silver Mercedes star rotates above Untertürkheim. Over the course of a year, students approached the hill through historical, ethnographic, and atmospheric research. They now present a series of site-specific performances.
At 2:00 PM, Bacchus himself, the god of wine, will open the event at the foot of the hill and lead guests up the mountain. Along the way, visitors will encounter a sequence of durational performances, interventions, panels, and workshops. At 5:00 PM, guests and performers will gather at the Kappelberg open-air stage for a concert-like collective assembly.

Dieser Workshop möchte über die Beteiligung des Publikums nachdenken immersive Settings und partizipative Perspektiven auf künstlerisches Arbeiten auf kreative Weise zu erforschen, die sowohl alltägliche Interaktionen herausfordert als auch sensibel gegenüber inhärenten Machtverhältnissen ist. 
Wir werden an kleinskaligen interaktiven Performance-Skizzen und performativen Experimenten arbeiten und gemeinsam über Formen der Interaktivität nachdenken, die Konzepte wie Konsens, Ko-Kreation, Improvisation, Immersion, Spiel und Playtesting einbeziehen.

Der Workshop richtet sich an alle, die sich für interaktive Settings interessieren – unabhängig davon, ob sie bereits Erfahrung damit in ihrer eigenen Praxis haben oder nicht. Maria ist Dramaturgin, Theatermacherin und wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin, die einen Großteil ihrer künstlerischen Experimente und theoretischen Forschung kollektiven Performanceprozessen und interaktiven Settings widmet. Die im Workshop vermittelten Praktiken umfassen Teile ihrer eigenen Forschung, Auszüge aus Texten verwandter Autorinnen sowie Materialien von langjährigen Kollaborateurinnen und Freund*innen.

English:

This workshop aims to reflect on audience participation and to creatively explore immersive settings and participatory approaches to artistic practice in ways that both challenge everyday interactions and remain sensitive to inherent power dynamics.
We will work on small-scale interactive performance sketches and performative experiments, while collectively reflecting on forms of interactivity that engage with concepts such as consent, co-creation, improvisation, immersion, play, and playtesting.

WAS HABEN DIE KOMMENDEN KULTURKÜRZUNGEN MIT MIR ZU TUN?

Darüber möchten wir Euch als zukünftige Künstler:innen in Stuttgart informieren. Denn 2026/27 wurden starke Kürzungen für den Kulturhaushalt Stuttgart vorgenommen, vor allem in Bereichen, die die freie Kunstszene finanzieren – ein wichtiger Arbeitsbereich für viele Studierende der HMDK, der nun bedroht ist!

Was das für kommendes Arbeiten als Künstler:in in Stuttgart bedeutet, wie wir uns als angehende Künstler:innen gemeinsam dagegen wehren können und welche Protestaktionen durch das Bündnis „An Kultur, Bildung und Sozialem zu sparen, kostet zu viel“ bereits geplant sind, darüber möchten wir mit euch am 11.05. von 16:30-17:30 in der Wandelhalle neben dem OPR sprechen.

Wir freuen uns über jeden Anwesenden und darüber, wenn ihr die Informationen an eure Mitstudierenden weitergebt!

WHAT DO THE UPCOMING CULTURAL CUTS HAVE TO DO WITH ME?

We would like to inform you, as future artists in Stuttgart, about this.

Significant cuts have been made to Stuttgart’s cultural budget for 2026/27, especially in areas that fund the independent arts scene – an important area of ​​work for many students at HMDK, that is now endangered!

What this means for future work as an artist in Stuttgart, how we as prospective artists can react against this together, and what protest actions are already planned by the alliance „Cutting back on Culture, Education and Social Services costs too much“ – we would like to discuss these topics with you on May 11th from 4:30 to 5:30 pm in the Wandelhalle next to the OPR.

CAMPUS GEGENWART EXCURSION
open for all HMDK students

Excursion to the Ruhrtriennale International Festival Campus in Bochum, 27–30 August, 2026

There are 12 places available for HMDK students. The Festival Campus workshops will be held in English!

Participation in the entire excursion is mandatory. If you would like to join us, please send an email by 26 April at the latest to [email protected]

Breakfast (at the hotel) and one meal per day will be provided by the Festival Campus.

The Ruhrtriennale is an international festival focusing on music theatre and cross-genre productions, ranging from new forms of opera to concert formats, dance, drama and visual arts. It takes place annually in the Ruhr region in late summer, with a particular emphasis on new productions developed for industrial heritage sites – including steel halls, coking plants and machine houses from the former mining and steel industries.

Antrags- und Produktionsmanagement in den Darstellenden Künsten

Einzelstunden bis Ende des Semesters nach Vereinbarung
Raum: WBS 10, Raum 201

In diesem Seminar wird es darum gehen, künstlerischen Konzepte in eine klare und überzeugende Sprache zu übersetzen. Ziel ist es, die administrative Seite von
künstlerische Produktionen zu verstehen und praktisch anzuwenden – von der ersten Projektidee über Antragstellung und Finanzierung bis hin zu Durchführung und Abrechnung.
Im Laufe des Seminars erarbeiten wir Schritt für Schritt einen vollständigen Förderantrag für ein eigenes Projekt und lernen grundlegende Strategien zu Fördermöglichkeiten, Budgetplanung und Produktionsmodellen kennen. Ein besonderer Fokus liegt darauf, Strategien für eine realistische Produktionsplanung zu entwickeln – und die oft
vorhandene Scheu vor administrativen Prozessen abzubauen.

Eine kontinuierliche Teilnahme ist Voraussetzung.
Das Seminar findet in deutscher Sprache statt, mit der Möglichkeit einer englischen
Übersetzung bei Bedarf.
