Congratulations to our students Kazim Bilgi, Sina Drechsler, Justine Niemitz, Felix Queck, Evelyn Schurig and Simon Theisen for winning the 2nd prize of the German University Award Wood Construction 2023!

With their design "Over The Top" in the winter semester 2022/23, the team prevailed among 75 submissions.

The Förderpreis Holzbau is awarded every two years under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Construction. The focus is on constructive and physical design concepts for timber construction.

Tomorrow the final presentations by our master students to the assignment ONTOP! will take place.

We are looking forward to the final development of our students' projects and interesting discussions with our guest critics.

"E-Mobility in Stuttgart-Gaisburg : Hydrogen Center with Roller Test Bench for Heavy Duty Vehicles"

In the current winter semester, our second design course will focus on the architectural response to novel building tasks related to e-mobility.
The interdisciplinary design assignment is offered in cooperation with the DLR Institute of Vehicle Concepts, Department of Energy Concepts for Vehicles.

The next interim presentations will be held on December 8, 2022 and January 19, 2023.
We are looking forward to future-oriented concepts!

Congratulations to Lara Breidbach for the Heinze ArchitekturAWARD Young Talents 2022.

The bachelor project "Vorgesetzte Gemeinschaft - vom schlichten Bürogebäude zu einem vielfältigen und zukunftsorientierten Stadtbaustein", completed with great success by Lara Breidbach at the Institute of Design and Construction in winter semester 2021/22, was awarded one of the four equally ranked Heinze ArchitekturAWARDs Young Talents 2022, each endowed with € 2,000, from among almost 80 competition entries. The award ceremony for the Heinze ArchitekturAWARD 2022 took place on 3 November as part of the 3-day climate festival in Düsseldorf.

We are very proud of Lara and this great success!!
