Redesign your City - CINEMA Final Conference!

Over the last 2.5 years, the CINEMA project partners have been working hard to make European city centres more attractive and lively with the help of the regional . Now that our EU project is coming to an end, we would like to invite you to our final conference:

The international online conference "Redesign your City - engaging creative potentials for innovation" will take place on November 23rd from 10am to 1pm. We are looking forward to contributions from international experts in the field of such as Charles Landry, Bahanur Nasya, Roland Murauer and Mihai Ionita.

Together with our project partners we are pleased to be able to provide important impulses through moderated workshops in which we will discuss common experiences and visions with European partners.

Noch bis zum 26. Juli ist der Chamäleon Space in Herrenberg geöffnet, mit vielen Aktionen und Veranstaltungen, Coworking Plätzen und regionalen Designprodukten zum Verkauf.

Sehr gerne möchten wir zu einem Afterwork Event einladen, das morgen (12.7) von 17:30–21 Uhr im Chamäleon Space am Nufringer Tor/ Stuttgarter Str. 23 in Herrenberg stattfindet. Mit dabei ist ein Live Auftritt von Jakob Longfield, dazu gibt es Häppchen und Drinks, mit freundlicher Unterstützung von Jutta Weinle-Günter (Edeka) und Kevin Bandel Cocktails.

Organisiert wird die Veranstaltung von der Stadt Herrenberg in Kooperation mit der Hochschule der Medien Stuttgart und der Wirtschaftsförderung Region Stuttgart GmbH.

CREAM Forscher:innen & Master of Media Research Student:innen beim Ideation Campus Stuttgart

Bei unserem Event „Ideation Campus Stuttgart – Wissen schafft Gründungen“ im Rahmen des Wissenschaftsfestivals am 24.06.2022 ab 16:30 wird Wissenstransfer hautnah durch studentische Forschungsprojekte, wissenschaftsbasierte Startups und Innovationsplattformen erlebbar. CREAM Forscher:innen und Student:innen des Master of Media Reserach stellen ihre Projekte ebenfalls interaktiv vor.

Der startup campus 0711 und wir als Partner haben für euch ein buntes Programm aus interaktiver Messe, Science Slam und get2gether bei Snacks, Getränken und DJ auf der Dachterrasse zusammengestellt. Außerdem wird der Region-Stuttgart-Hochschulpreis verliehen. Seid gespannt und kommt vorbei.

Interaktives Training zu kreativen Werkzeugen für Ihre Projekte zur Belebung von Innenstädten!

Am Mittwoch, den 27.04.22 von 15.30-18 Uhr führen wir zusammen mit der Wirtschaftsförderung Region Stuttgart GmbH einen interaktiven Workshop (Zoom) zu kreativen Werkzeugen, die Ihre Projekte zur Wiederbelebung von Innenstädten und urbaner Revitalisierung unterstützen können.

First impressions of the "Chamäleon Space"!

Our "Chamäleon Space", a pilot activity as part of the Interreg Cinema project, has been already in operation for 1.5 weeks. First feedback from locals on the diverse offer in the vacant empty space "zur Rose" in Herrenberg from the areas of culture & creative industries, New Work, gastronomy and retail was positive.

Until Dec 4th you can stop by the space every day for a coffee, to shop, to work in the coworking space or to participate in one of the cultural events. This week, for example, the space is offering some summery Italian flair with pizza, pasta and Aperol Spritz on two evenings and on Saturday - so it's worth stopping by! Together with our partners from Stadt Herrenberg and Wirtschaftsförderung Region Stuttgart GmbH as well as many local supporters, we look forward to your visit!

We´re getting started with our pilot project!!!

Developed in February this year at the Virtual Hackathon in Herrenberg together with local creatives and citizens as well as students from Hochschule der Medien and Start-ups from Startup Center Hochschule der Medien the "Chamäleon Spaces" are now becoming reality. They represent a hybrid idea of different creative floorspace concepts which come into play in rotation. Among other things, ideas from the regional art and culture scene are used to design the spaces and merge with offers from retail, gastronomy and New Work. Only with the on-going support of local representatives of these areas such as Nathan Grant Kitch, Harald Amelung from Coworking0711, Tim Rühle from Fit & Fröhlich , Johannes Storost from Mauerwerk and grellgelb studio for communication the created vision can now be realised.

From Nov. 6th to Dec. 4th , we will conduct a piloting phase: The first "Chamäleon Space" will be implemented in the empty guest house "Zur Rose" at Reinhold-Schick-Platz in (Germany) and will offer, for example, design products in a pop-up store and coworking workplaces. In addition, there will be cultural events, maker workshops and tastings during the week and at weekends. So for a while, the traditional guest house will be transformed into an exhibition space, a workspace or, at the weekend, a cinema and event space. By implementing this creative concept, we hope to fill the city center with life and ever-changing content, as well as to foster long-term collaborations. Together with our great project partners from Wirtschaftsförderung Region Stuttgart GmbH and Stadt Herrenberg , we are happy to invite anyone who will be round the corner during this time - for an event, to work temporarily or simply to enjoy the creative environment.

As a measure of the EU-INTERREG project "CINEMA" (Creative Industries for New Urban Economies in the Danube Region), a multi-day virtual hackathon took place in mid-February. Students of the Hochschule der Medien University of Applied Sciences and citizens of Herrenberg together developed ideas on how the future of consumption and urban coexistence in Herrenberg could look like.

The three hackathon teams started with the clarification of the task and the goals, followed by the identification of ideas and their visualization. On the second day, the teams worked out their ideas and finalized their concepts. The results of the two days were presented in a pitch to a jury, which selected the winning idea based on various criteria. Bastian Lange (Multiplicities Berlin) provided essential support to the project team as an external consultant in the planning, implementation and moderation of the hackathon.

The proposal "Chameleon Spaces" - a flexible concept for temporary and low-threshold use of vacant spaces with a flexible change of different usage concepts convinced the jury. In this concept, empty spaces can be designed by creative ideas of committed citizens and the regional art and culture scene. In a second step, art and cultural offerings are then merged with retail, gastronomy and "new work" formats in consideration of Herrenberg's "local players.

Kreative aufgepasst: Aufruf zur Teilnahme an bundesweiter Umfrage zur Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft!

Das Fördernetzwerk Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft und der Bundesverband Kreative Deutschland e.V. Kreative Deutschland haben eine bundesweite Umfrage unter Selbständigen in der Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft gestartet.

Im Fokus der Umfrage stehen Fragen nach den positiven wie negativen wirtschaftlichen Auswirkungen durch die aktuelle Krisenlage und wie Selbständige der KKW auf die Krise reagiert haben. Darüber hinaus erhebt die Umfrage, welche Corona-Hilfen in Anspruch genommen wurden.
