We were delighted to welcome the District Mayor of Stuttgart-Degerloch, members of the Degerloch District Council, and representatives of the AK Wärmewende Degerloch to the International School of Stuttgart for a special tour of our campus and our new, sustainable school building.

Led by our School Director, Director of Finance, and Facilities team, the visit provided an opportunity to showcase how innovation and environmental responsibility come together at ISS. Guests learned about our state-of-the-art geothermal energy system, energy-efficient building design, and the technologies that help create a comfortable learning environment while significantly reducing our environmental impact and carbon footprint.

The discussions went far beyond the building itself. We were proud to share how sustainability is embedded in the way we think, teach, and operate as a school. By investing in future-focused infrastructure, we aim to provide an exceptional learning environment for our students while contributing to a more sustainable future for our local community.

We are grateful to the City of Stuttgart and everyone who joined us for their interest, thoughtful questions, and engaging discussions. We value the opportunity to collaborate with local leaders and share practical examples of how educational institutions can contribute to the energy transition and climate-conscious development.

At ISS, we believe that education is about more than academic excellence—it is also about leading by example and demonstrating responsible stewardship of our environment for future generations.

🌟 STEAM Week 2026

Looking back on the many exciting activities from the last few weeks of school, we just have to shine a spotlight on STEAM Week at our Sindelfingen campus! 💡✨

During this action-packed week, students from Early Years to Grade 10 developed hands-on craft skills in felting and weaving, ventured outdoors to explore the natural world, tried their hand at woodworking, and collaborated in teams to solve exciting group challenges - plus so much more! 🌿🤝

To round off the week and celebrate our vibrant ISS Sindelfingen community, our Parent Group hosted a fantastic Aloha Party, bringing an amazing year of learning, creativity, and memories to a memorable close! 🎉

A big thank you to all our dedicated teachers, staff, and parents for making STEAM Week 2026 such a success!
