🤖🏆 Innovation in action!

We're proud to celebrate our students' success at the World Robot Olympiad (WRO), where they returned home with a Team Award for their project, Polyglot; a multilingual greeting robot designed to help travelers feel welcome in airports, museums, hotels, and other public spaces.

Polyglot can detect when someone approaches, greet them in their own language, share cultural insights, and provide useful local information. Powered by AI, computer vision, and real-time language processing, the robot demonstrates the incredible possibilities that emerge when creativity meets technology.

But this achievement is about more than robotics.

Through projects like this, our students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and design skills, all essential for success in an ever-changing world. They learn to transform ideas into real-world solutions, present their work confidently, and work together to overcome challenges.

As an IB World School, we believe learning extends far beyond the classroom. Opportunities such as the WRO allow students to apply their learning in authentic contexts, explore their passions, and engage with STEAM in meaningful ways.

🎓 Finishing ISS Lower School 🌟

To celebrate the end of their Lower School journey, our Grade 5 pupils proudly showcased their learning at the annual Primary Years Programme Exhibition. Through in-depth research on topics they are passionate about, students demonstrated impressive inquiry skills, creativity, agency, and a strong commitment to exploring real-world issues with the support of dedicated staff mentors.

Following their exhibition success, students headed to the beautiful Zabergäu region for an exciting overnight trip filled with outdoor activities promoting team-building and confidence.

We are incredibly proud of all our Grade 5 students and wish them every success as they continue their journey into our Middle Years Programme or beyond! 🚀

🌎 At our Degerloch Summer Camp, children dive into a fun-filled English-speaking environment where every week brings a new theme to explore. From hands-on activities and creative projects to sports, science, games, and imaginative adventures, campers build confidence, friendships, and language skills naturally through play and discovery. 💛

🎨 Designed for children ages 5–13, our themed camp runs from July 6 – August 26 and keeps children engaged all summer long with exciting weekly experiences in a safe, caring, and inspiring environment. Plus, lunch is included each day!

🤝 Led by experienced and supportive instructors, campers enjoy small group experiences where they can learn, explore, and create lasting memories together.
