Am 20.09.2019 fand die Abschlusskonferenz des Erasmus+-Projekts Job to Stay statt. Neun Partner aus 5 europäischen Ländern beschäftigten sich über zwei Jahre hinweg mit der Identifikation erfolgreicher Möglichkeiten zur Integration weiblicher Geflüchteter in den (touristischen) Arbeitsmarkt.

Yesterday we had the opportunity to present Job to Stay at the steering committee for educational offers for new immigrants (Lenkungsgremium "Bildungsangebote für Neuzugewanderte") in Wismar. Many contacts to other relevant actors could be established in this way and the path was opened for further synergies 🙂

Recently the FHM, together with our partner, the VSP, had the opportunity to present our project to a group of female refugees at an intercultural meeting of the Caritas Schwerin. We are confident that we can support some of these women within the framework of our project.

Joint Staff Training in Schwerin!
On 18.09.2018, Andreas Ruhl, Deputy Mayor of Schwerin and Head of the Social Affairs Department, invited the project partners to a discussion regarding the refugee situation in Schwerin and presented existing activities and concepts within Schwerin for the integration of refugees. Especially the importance of social contacts as well as a long breath was emphasized by the deputy mayor in this context.

Am 18.09.2018 lud der der stellvertretenden Oberbürgermeister (OB) Schwerins und Sozialdezernent Andreas Ruhl die Projektpartner zu einem Gespräch hinsichtlich der Flüchtlingssituation in Schwerin ein und erläuterte bestehende Aktivitäten und Konzepten innerhalb Schwerins zur Integration von geflüchteten Menschen. Insbesondere die Bedeutung sozialer Kontakte sowie eines langen Atems hob der stellvertretende OB in diesem Kontext hervor.

Joint Staff Training in Schwerin!
On 17 September all 9 partners from 5 countries (Germany, Italy, Slovenia, France and Austria) arrived at the FHM to start our Joint Staff Training together. First our common goals of the training week were discussed before we focused on the finalisation of our guidelines in the following days. With regard to the implementation of our pilots, we discussed the special needs of female refugees (e.g. child care) as well as cultural factors regarding labour market integration. We also addressed the possible need for training, for example at the linguistic level, to create a relevant practical guide in order to promote the sustainable implementation of the pilots. Am 17. September trafen alle 9 Projektpartner aus 5 Ländern (Deutschland, Italien, Slowenien, Frankreich und Österreich) an der FHM ein, um gemeinsam unser Joint Staff Training zu beginnen. Zunächst wurden unsere gemeinsamen Ziele der Trainingswoche diskutiert, ehe wir in den nachfolgenden Tagen unser Augenmerk auf die Finalisierung unserer Guidelines legten. Wir diskutierten hinsichtlich der Implementierung unserer Piloten unter anderem die besonderen Bedürfnisse weiblicher Flüchtlinge (z.B. Kinderbetreuung) sowie kulturelle Faktoren hinsichtlich der anstehenden Arbeitsmarktintegration. Ebenso wurden eventuell benötigte Trainingsmaßnahmen zum Beispiel auf sprachlicher Ebene thematisiert, um einen relevanten Praxisleitfaden zu erstellen und somit auch die nachhaltige Umsetzung der Piloten zu fördern. Yesterday our Joint Staff Training in Schwerin ended. We discussed the whole week about our next steps to advance our project and got to know some practical examples regarding the labour market integration of refugees. Gestern endete unser Joint Staff Training in Schwerin. Wir diskutierten die gesamte Woche über unsere nächsten Schritte, um unser Projekt voranzubringen. Außerdem lernten wir einige Praxisbeispiele hinsichtlich der Arbeitsmarktintegration von Flüchtlingen kennen. In Kürze stehen unsere Piloten an. It's time to get in touch, isn't it?! Today, we had a great talk with female refugees looking for integration measurements. They are part of the project "FRISCH", which is initiated by Jugendförderverein Parchim-Lübz. We are also supported by the Jobcenter Schwerin - let's keep our fingers crossed that we can support all interested people to find jobs! We're confident and full of commitment!
