mother expresses
🤍 the hope that a loved one will recover from serious illness;
🤍 the belief that miracles still occur;
and this was, in fact, the case. 🤍
The song explores:
the experience of watching my mother bravely battle and overcome breast cancer twice,
the helplessness and distress in the face of her suffering,
the fear of losing her,
and
the fierce determination to keep hoping,
the stubborn clinging to faith in God's miracles
The song started as a cry of distress, frustration fear and fury against a foe that bystanders can't tangibly fight.
But, for the sake of our mother and our love for her, I simply could not leave it there.
After initially playing it in that form of pain and desperation,
I added an end section, that expresses the hope in an outcome that I am eternally grateful did transpire!
Yes, it sounds like a battle cry sometimes,
and sometimes that is the only way hope can be expressed!
This song is for all cancer survivors
to all who have been lost
to all who fight alongside them
for all of that hope
and love 🤍
