Demokratiebildungstour goes ESS

Am 21.03. war, passend zum Tag gegen Rassismus, die Demokratiebildungstour des Landesdemokratiezentrums zu Besuch an der ESS. Die Schülerinnen und Schüler der P5DE und P5EN nahmen an einem theaterpädagogischen Workshop zum Thema Toleranz und Kommunikation teil. Alexej Boris von der Organisation Inside Out führte die Kinder spielerisch an die Themen heran. Beispielsweise wurde geübt wie man Menschen, obwohl sie eine andere Sprache sprechen nur durch Körpersprache trotzdem verstehen kann oder dass wir obwohl wir die gleichen Dinge sagen oft unterschiedliche Dinge meinen.

On March 21, the Democracy Education Tour of the State Democracy Center visited the ESS to mark the Day against Racism. P5DE and P5EN pupils took part in an educational theater workshop on the topic of tolerance and communication. Alexej Boris from the organization Inside Out introduced the children to the topics in a playful way. For example, they practiced how you can still understand people even though they speak a different language just through body language or that we often mean different things even though we say the same things.

Die S1 En hat in den integrierten Naturwissenschaften einen Indikator aus Rotkohlsaft hergestellt, um den pH Wert verschiedener Flüssigkeiten zu testen.

S1EN made a pH indicator using red cabbage juice in their integrated science lessons.

Kinderrechte an der ESS Teil 2:

Die S2 stellte uns im Februar das Kinderrecht der Meinungsfreiheit vor. Die Schülerinnen und Schüler präsentierten dabei wo dieses Recht verankert ist und wo man überall seine Meinung äußern darf. Außerdem stellten sie mit Malala Yousafzai und Greta Thunberg zwei Mädchen vor, die von ihrem Recht auf Meinungsfreiheit Gebrauch gemacht haben.

Children's rights at the ESS part 2:

In February the S2 students presented the children's right of freedom of speech. The children learned about the laws that grant the right and where and how one is allowed to speak their mind. Additionally, they presented how Malala Yousafzai and Greta Thunberg used their freedom of speech.

Juniorwahl an der ESS

Am 18.02.2025 stand für die Schülerinnen und Schüler der S1 bis S3 die Juniorwahl an. Die Klassen konnten nacheinander zur Wahlurne gehen und durch die Wahlsimulation Demokratie hautnah miterleben.
Schülerinnen und Schüler der S2 und S3 konnten sich als Wahlhelfende erproben und so einen Blick hinter die Kulissen der Wahlabläufe werfen.

Junior election at the ESS

On 18.02.2025, the junior election was held for pupils in S1 to S3. The classes were able to go to the ballot box one after the other and experience democracy at first hand.
Pupils in S2 and S3 were able to try out their skills as election assistants and take a look behind the scenes of the election process.

Kinderrechtsprojekt Nr. 1 S3EN

Dieses Schuljahr steht unter dem Motto der Kinderrechte. Die Klassenstufen werden über die nächsten Monate abwechselnd zu verschiedenen Themen der Kinderrechte Projekte erstellen.
Das erste Projekt kommt von der S3EN mit Plakaten zum Thema Kinderarmut.

Children's rights project No. 1 S3EN

The motto of this school year is children's rights. The different grades are going to create projects about different topics of children's rights over the next months. The first project are these posters about child poverty from S3EN.
