Roel Schaart Increase Your Impact, Increase Your Success

Most leadership events give you information.

The question is...

Will that information actually change anything when you get home?

That's the reason I created this retreat differently.

Four days with a small group of leaders.

Real conversations.
Practical tools.
New perspectives.

And enough space to actually think.

The feedback from this year's retreat was so positive that we've decided to do it again.

Many participants are already planning to return, so places will be limited.

If you're serious about growing as a leader—not just collecting more information—send me a message.

I'd love to tell you more.

For years I focused almost exclusively on helping leaders improve their thinking, leadership and decision-making.

But over time I noticed a recurring pattern.

Many leaders knew exactly what they needed to do.

Yet they lacked the energy to consistently perform at their best.
Poor sleep.
Constant stress.
Low recovery.
Brain fog.

It made me realize that mindset and leadership are only part of the equation. Physical health matters just as much.

That's why I've recently expanded my work to include evidence-based nutrition and health assessments alongside executive coaching.

I'm convinced that sustainable high performance starts with understanding your body's baseline rather than relying on guesswork or the latest health trend.

When you know what's happening inside your body, you can make more informed decisions about nutrition, recovery and performance.

That's why this has become a natural extension of my work with leaders.

Have you ever sacrificed your health for business success? Looking back, was it worth it?

One pattern I've noticed after coaching leaders for more than 12,000 hours is this:
Some of the smartest leaders I've worked with were also the ones who found it hardest to let go of being right.

I remember working with one executive whose team had stopped challenging him.

At first, he thought that meant everyone agreed.

The reality was different.

People had simply stopped sharing different perspectives.

Once he learned to ask more questions than he gave answers, everything changed.
The quality of the conversations improved.

People became more engaged.
Better ideas emerged.

Leadership isn't about proving you're the smartest person in the room.

It's about creating an environment where people feel safe to think, contribute and challenge each other respectfully.

Where might your need to be right be limiting your leadership?

Last week I was speaking with a senior executive who has built what many people would call a dream career.

• Successful business
• Financial freedom
• Respected by others

Yet he said something that stayed with me:

"Roel, I have achieved almost everything I wanted... but something is still missing."
This isn't an exception.

Over the years, I've heard similar words from CEOs, founders and senior leaders around the world.

Success is important

But success alone doesn't create fulfilment.

What I've seen makes the biggest difference is a combination of:

• Good health
• Meaningful relationships
• Personal growth
• Purpose
• The feeling that your work matters

Business is only one part of the equation.

The leaders who seem happiest have learned not to sacrifice everything else in order to win at work.

What are you optimizing for at this stage of your life?

“The only way out is in.”

A powerful reminder that real leadership begins with self-leadership.

The retreat created space for deeper conversations about awareness, transformation, and leading from the inside out.

"Sun, fun, and a lot of good conversations."

Sometimes the biggest breakthroughs happen when you slow down, connect, and create space to think differently.

Growth happens when learning meets action.

One of the most valuable aspects of the retreat was bringing together ambitious leaders who were willing to learn, share, and put new insights into practice.

Thank you for sharing your experience.
