MYP is a village Polytechnic. It offers the following trades: Carpentary, Masonry. Dressmaking and Tailoring, Electrical Wiring and Metallsheet Worker.

Any person who has completed Standard 8 can apply. Training last 2 years to Grade 3.

Juma Ngari was one of the first students to pass his Grade 3 in carpentry in 2015. He now works in Mombasa making beautiful bed frames and dining room suites. It is great to see how far these young lads have got.

Attention all Grade 1 and 2 candidates.
Ushirika has pulled out of the Msulwa Youth Polytechnic (VTC) because of corruption on the side of the manageress Md. Jane Ngunga and the BoM. This means 5 instructors have been made redundant and the sponsorships have stopped. So that Ushirika's sponsees can continue their training Ushirika will send them to the Ukunda VTC and finance their part-time courses leading to Grade 1 and 2. All students should contact Mr. Kalama or Md. Faith who will register them at Ukunda. The new courses for Wiring, MVM, Carpentry, Plumbing and Dressmaking/Tailoring for Grade 1 and 2 begin in May. Other sponsees from other departments will also be financed but only in Ukunda.
