I got a request to share following information with you about a workcamp - please pay attention to it.

Hi everybody,
First I want to apologize that i cannot write in polish and that my english wont be perfect either. I hope thats ok.
As a member of the “Uckermark – Initiative” I heard about your interest for the association and your visit to the Uckermark – Area. At the moment I organize a Workcamp and Travel in Poland with another group and we search for polish people share our interest in some subjects like the NS and its history– (especially in Poland), working in a memorial place, memorial politics and perspectives, Antisemitism and the examination of the history of the own family.
We are a group of antifascists from Berlin with an age of 20 to 36 and we organize a Travel in Poland for young people of 16 to 20 years. The travel is split in three parts: From 25th to 30th of march we go to the former concentration camp Stutthof to work and study there. The weekend we stay in Gdansk and then for the second week we go to Warszawa from where we make a day trip to Treblinka and want to visit the Paviak and the former Ghetto of Warszawa.
We want to interest young people in politics and history from an antifascist and victims point of view.Our aim is to get the people in the group into an examination of the Past and dont let the NS – History be an unimportant occurance that happened a long time ago as a lot of german people and politicans would like to see it. We think, it was and is still very important to reflect the NS and the Shoa because continuities still exist in underlying racism and fascism in our society.
Before the Travel we will learn together about the history and the relations between Poland and Gemany, about Antismenitism and the NS in Poland and as well about the „Bund der Vertriebenen“ with their leader Erika Steinbach who is one of the examples of the typical „we germans are the victims“ - nonsense. Furthermore we want to talk about the memory and storytelling about the War in our own families – how the perspective of the offender is often defended and how the stories often twist the perpetrator-victim-perspective.
We would like to meet people from Poland to talk together about political experiences and perspectives. We are very interested in discussions, visiting places together and talking about our experiences in political work.
