On 10 October, we hosted a masterclass on the evolving style of one of Spain’s most fascinating wine regions — Priorat 🍷
The participants discovered how the region’s bold, powerful wines are giving way to a new era of finesse and freshness. Still, each wine, across the range of whites, rosé and reds told a story of innovation rooted in tradition.
A huge thank you to all who joined us for this immersive tasting — and to for sharing first-hand knowledge of the region.
If you missed it, no worries — more Masterclasses are coming up shortly. Check www.berlinwineschool.com/events for details.
See you then!

Napa memories uncorked! 🍇✨
A few months ago we hosted a fantastic evening with Rienne Bilz, Sommelier and California Wine Ambassador.
We journeyed through Napa’s diverse AVAs, tasting classic examples of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon while diving into stories of terroir, blending, and climate change’s impact.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the event special!

Masterclass alert:
Weingut Karthäuserhof – mastering cool climate viticulture
Date and time: 18 October 2024 19:00-21:00
The legendary Karthäuserhof estate is a place of fairy tales.
Overlooking the sublime Ruwer valley, they are the eighth oldest winegrowing estate in the world. Officially founded as a monastery in 1335, this “Farm of the Carthusians” was given as a gift to the monks of the Carthusian order by Prince-Elector Balduin of Luxembourg. Since 1811, the Karthäuserhof has been in the hands of the same family.
The Karthäuserhof vineyard in Trier is renowned for its unique terroir: centuries-old vines, mineral-rich soils in the Ruwer Valley (Mosel-Saar-Ruwer), and steep slopes. This combination produces Riesling wines of exceptional elegance and finesse that are appreciated worldwide.
Join our guest speaker Kevin Kleu, head of sales and marketing at Karthäuserhof in celebrating their heritage. We will taste through a range of wines across different vintages to get a glimpse into knowledge and skills that are applied in challenging vine growing conditions of
the Ruwer.
Most definitely there will be eye-opening moments when we see how extreme temperatures, humidity and rainfall are skillfully managed to consistently produce excellent wines.
