German is not boring

I think this video can’t be shared enough. My dear friend and colleague from Sprache&Therapie has made it to explain why private lessons are a bit pricey.

Auch can be very tricky and there are lot’s of rules 🤯
But when you put it after the verb in short sentences you’ll be fine!
I want ice cream too
I have a cat as well
She’ll come too
He lives in Berlin too

No, the rule is not that the subject goes after the verb (komme ich)❌
But sometimes it does! Why oh why?
In a normal sentence (aka main clause) the VERB is always in the 𝕊𝔼ℂ𝕆ℕ𝔻 position! ✅🤓 Today, I go to the movies
I’ll come tomorrow
I don’t have time on Monday
I can do it!

When you want to say „no more something“ in German you say „no something more“ 🤷🏼‍♀️

No more money (I don’t have money anymore)
No more time (I don’t have time anymore)
No more chocolate (there’s no chocolate left)
No more stress! (Please, no more stress!

„Only“ is not always „nur“! 👩🏼‍🏫
If there’s more to come use „erst“! 😀
But that’s not all! It can also mean „later than I thought“ 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

He’s only 3 years old.
I fell asleep only at 3 pm! (I consider it being very late)
It’s only 7 am!
We only arrived now. ( Again, we should have arrived earlier)
