I spend far too long trying to work out what I should post.
Should I make it educational? Funny? Trendy? Should I try to beat the algorithm?
Instead, I decided today, to simply tell my story.
Moving to Germany 10 years ago changed the course of my life in ways I never expected. It wasn't easy, especially moving my way through pregnancy and birth in a country that didn't feel like home. But those experiences have led me here.
Becoming a doula feels like coming home to work that was waiting for me all along. I just had to journey through the joys and the trenches of motherhood to find it.
My hope is simple: that the mothers coming behind me feel informed, supported and deeply held throughout their pregnancy, birth and postpartum journey.
Not because I have all the answers, but because no one should have to experience this chapter of life feeling alone or uninformed.
This is just the beginning of Birth & Mother, and I'm so excited for what's to come.
If you're here, thank you for following along. It means more than you know. 🤍
