Look how far we’ve come!

The space is already starting to look completely different: leaks fixed, windows insulated, unnecessary walls removed, a new classroom wall built, and roughly 1.8 tonnes of renovation waste cleared out!

And this is just the beginning. We’re now working on the entrance, walls, cables and new furniture, with plaster and woodworking workshops coming up!🧱🪵🎨

Thanks to 49 supporters, 40 renovation crew members, and everyone who shared our campaign, we raised €2,126 of €10,000💚

We’ve been making some serious progress with the renovation, and it’s been so much fun! It’s amazing to see how much the space has already changed thanks to your donations.

45 supporters have already helped us raise €1 721 of our €10,000 goal!

We’ve taken down almost all the old plaster and fixed the water leaks, but there’s still a long way to go!🛠️

Next step: building a false wall to create an extra classroom, alongside plenty of other renovation work.

🎉 As you have already known that, OLIve - the Open Learning Initiative has found a new home in Józsefváros! 🗝️🏡
This afternoon, three of us - Violetta Zentai, Ian Cook and Tímea Sófalvi- represented the Association at a fantastic key handover and networking event hosted by the Józsefváros Municipality at Lakótér.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the VIII. District Municipality for this amazing opportunity and for providing our association with a new place to call home.

It was a wonderful evening filled with insightful conversations. We loved connecting with fellow local NGOs, exchanging experiences, and speaking directly with district representatives, like the deputy major Eva Tessza Udvarhelyi and Hermann György from the Social Affair Committee about future collaborations.

We can't wait to fill our new space with life, community programs, and great projects! We continue the donation campaign for the renovation of the place - link is in the first comment!
