nternational Summer Schools. These programs run for 3-4 weeks and are a unique combination of academics, German language courses and a rich cultural program. In 2013, the course program included:

Subject courses taught in English:
- Intercultural Competencies
- Democratic Governance and Civic Engagement
- International Perspectives on Health Care

All courses are taught by subject-specific, international specialists and combine lectures, workshops, time for preparation and revision, as well as several subject-related excursions. Additionally, international students who are registered for a subject course taught in English take part in one of our taster courses in German language and culture (beginners). Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate and will usually be granted credit points for their further studies at their home institution. All participants take part in a wide variety of cultural, social and outdoor activities, including an outstanding excursion program to sights in Osnabrück, e.g. visit of Felix Nussbaum museum, Osnabrück Night-watchman tour, an international evening,… and also trips with varied programs and a weekend trip to Berlin! We also offer a spectacular guided mudflat hiking tour from the East Frisian mainland to the island Baltrum, movie evenings and much more. During the program, the International Summer School team will tend to your academic and personal needs at any time!
