Great performance by Nelson Howard Birchall on Saturday night to take his record to 12-0 (9KOs) on the Queensberry Promotions show in Birmingham with a third round knockout of his opponent making that 8 KO wins in a row! 💥

After winning the Featherweight English title and Commonwealth silver belt Nelson had outgrown the 126lb division and moved up to Super-feather where he won the Commonwealth silver belt again and put himself in the mandatory position to box for the full Commonwealth title.

At 22 years old as of yesterday there’s only BIG nights ahead for Nelly as he will make his mark on the Super featherweight division over the next 12 months and put all other domestic rivals on notice‼️

Couldn’t be more proud of this lad and the championship heart that he showed on Saturday night in Dublin in front of a sellout 10,000 seat arena.

Just as he was settling into the fight and getting into his groove he was caught with a big shot in round 2 and again in round 3 which seemed to change the course of the fight. The heart, determination and conditioning that Pierce showed to swing the fight back in his favour over the next 5-6 rounds was remarkable and to his credit was able to land a sickening body shot in the 8th round which looked like the beginning of the end for Mark Chamberlain.
Like Pierce, Chamberlain showed grit and the heart of a champion to ride the storm and ultimately come back in the 10th and land some big shots in return which led to the referee stopping the fight.

Humble in defeat I’m sure Pierce now knows what issues need correcting to show that one loss will not define his career but the way that he bounces back from this will.

Well done to Mark Chamberlain in winning what alot of people are already saying was ‘fight of the year’.
Hopefully you accept the rematch and give Pierce the same opportunity that was given to you.

Head up champ, enjoy your rest and see you soon BIGBANG 🇮🇪💥
